Dyfed Poultry Society's Welsh National was a resounding success.
Entries may have been down but the convivial, happy atmosphere, which prevailed throughout the day, was so welcome and reminiscent of what showing used to be like in the 1970s-80s. This may in part have been due to the 'tipple' that all were invited to partake of, for exhibitors were offered a sherry and mince pie to celebrate Dyfed's 30th show. The exhibitors were further rewarded with prize monies being given to all card winners in all classes as part of the celebrations.
A constant flow of the general public kept the door stewards alert and had exhibitors fielding questions from the outset. The fancy is bound to have appealed to some of them.
Judging on the day was by Mrs P Lawrence, Mrs S Johns, P Jones, K Brain, R Davies, R Pryce and P Meatyard. Thank you all.
